Silver Jewelry Care

Silver naturally oxidizes over time. No panic, this is a normal reaction caused by exposure to air, humidity, chemicals, cosmetics, or other substances containing sulfur.

It is not a defect, and the dark patina can be easily removed with a few simple steps. Some skin types may naturally accelerate the oxidation of silver.

Preserving your jewelry

To preserve the quality of your silver jewelry and slow down oxidation:

  1. Avoid contact with water, perfumes, creams, and cleaning products.
  2. Wear your jewelry often - contact with the skin helps keep it shiny.
  3. Clean regularly with a soft cloth. For more stubborn marks, use lukewarm water and mild soap. Avoid abrasive products.
  4. Store in a dry place, away from light and humidity, preferably in a pouch or a closed box.
  5. Keep pieces separate to prevent scratches.
